Sprachwoche in England
The classes 3A and 3B embarked on an exciting week-long trip to the wonderful city of York with their teachers, Ms. Leypold and Ms. Bachlmayr. The students not only had the opportunity to practice and improve their English skills but also experienced an unforgettable cultural adventure.
Despite England's reputation for unpredictable weather, the group was greeted with surprisingly sunny and mild conditions, which made their explorations even more enjoyable. During the trip, they were able to try a variety of traditional English dishes, some of which were new to them, offering a delicious insight into local cuisine.
Their journey began with a flight to Manchester, followed by a scenic stop in Leeds before arriving in York. While in York, the students were immersed in both the historical and contemporary sides of the city. They explored its famous landmarks, including the grand York Minster and the York Dungeons, which provided a fascinating glimpse into York's dark and mysterious past. The group also visited the coastal towns of Whitby and Scarborough, adding to their rich cultural experience. The students attended a language course at St. John's University, enhancing their English skills in an academic setting
Throughout the week, the students stayed with host families, which gave them the unique opportunity to further practice their English in an authentic environment and experience daily life in England.
Overall, it was a fantastic trip filled with learning, adventure, and lots of fun! The students returned with lasting memories and a deeper appreciation for English culture.
